12-18-24   THOUGHTS

We read this morning from one of the great places where the position and function of Christ in God’s plan to save man is summed up.  The reading ends by telling us that God gave Jesus “first place in everything,”  and that it was  “the Father’s pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him.”
Christ’s qualifications for  FIRSTNESS & FULLNESS  are given here also.  Read them carefully and absorb them fully!  Our eternal inheritance is bound up in what Christ has done for us.  Jesus SAVES!  We have passed from death to life in Him!   “Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!”   2Cor 9:15

Col 1:12-19    giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in Light. 13  For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, 14  in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. 15  He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. 16  For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities —  all things have been created through Him and for Him. 17  He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. 18  He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything. 19  For it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him,

My  Prayer:

Praise  be to our most high God. We love You.   O Father God, may we live fully and continually the life You’ve given us in Christ Jesus.  Help us to live powerfully for the Kingdom.  We seek greater zeal and focus and diligence in our living.  We want a more meaningful prayer life as we draw closer to You.  Keep us from double-minded waffling. We want to be real in terms of that which is eternal and spiritual.   We pray always in Jesus,   Amen.
